Obituary for Ruth Regina Winston

Ruth Regina Winston
Ruth Regina Winston of Kinsale, Virginia peacefully departed her earthly life on November 14, 2017. Ruth was predeceased by her parents, Frank B. and Sarah Gawena Sydnor Davis, Sr; brothers Robert N. and Frank B. Davis, Jr.; sisters Marie A. Davis, Myrteen Davis and Mary Ellen Allen; and beloved daughter Anna Marie Winston. She is survived by her daughter Ruth Michele Winston-Bosio (Charles) of Tennessee. Also left behind to cherish her memory are several cousins, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Loved by many, Ruth was a natural mother. The laughter of children was music to her ears. She loved her family; each and every sister, brother, and their children and grandchildren. Watching us all grow up, she cherished each and every moment. She loved our husbands and wives; they were her family too. She soothed us when we felt life's troubles and shared our joys. Her laughter warmed the hearts of those around her. She was a wonderful cook and we will all miss her family gatherings and her chicken salad, vegetable soup and chocolate pound cake. She was devoted to her church and faithfully attended while she was able. She circled us all with her selfless love. We will all treasure her memory. All of the people she touched are better for knowing and loving her.
Services will be held at the Welch Funeral Home in Montross, Virginia on Monday, November 20, 2017 at 2p.m. Pastor Wade Wilkins will be officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from Noon to 2p.m. prior to services.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Riverside Tappahannock Hospice, 287 Hospital Road, Tappahannock, Va 22560.
