Carroll Ernest Bowen, Sr. 91, of King William formally of Coles Point passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2017. He was a member of Coles Point United Methodist Church, a retired mill operator for Potomac Supply, and a US Army Veteran.
He is survived by a son, Carroll E. Bowen, Jr. King William, two daughters, Deborah Carter, King William and Wendy Bowen, Georgia; a sister Mary Elizabeth “Polly” Brooks, three Brothers, Johnny Bowen, Joseph F. ”Frankie” Bowen (Linda), Randolph Bowen (Laurie) all of Coles Point. Also surviving are six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents William N. and Modie Lee Bowen, one daughter Donna Crapps, four brothers, Harold E. Bowen, William A. Bowen, Elwood Bowen, James Bowen, and a sister, Virginia F. Evans.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Welch Funeral Home Montross. Interment will follow in Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Welch Funeral Home, Montross Chapel from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 25, 2017.
