Anne Jenkins Woolard, 69, of Haynesville, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, November 3, 2022. Anne was the daughter of the late Miller Eugene Jenkins, Sr. and the late Mary Self Jenkins. She was the wife of Henry Wayland Woolard, Sr. and the mother of Henry “Wade” W. Woolard, Jr. Left to mourn her loss are her loving husband of almost forty-nine years, Henry; her beloved son Wade; daughter-in-law Krista; her grandchildren Marin J. Woolard and Langley A. Woolard; her sister Mary J. Carter; her nephew Ryan Carter; her grandnieces Taylor M. Carter and Reagan G. Carter; and many friends and neighbors. Anne was predeceased by her parents; her brother Miller E. Jenkins, Jr.; and her sister Jeanette Sanders.

Anne was a waitress at Shoney’s Restaurant and a member of Northern Neck Baptist Church. Anne loved people and her customers at Shoney’s can attest to this. She loved gardening and she surrounded her and Henry’s home with a dazzling array of plants and flowers; over the years she created a garden oasis. She didn’t mind doing the hard work too – she loved cutting the grass and tending to the trees and shrubs. Anne was an animal lover and adored her dogs, Boomer and Bruiser. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren, and was always so proud of all that they accomplished.

A private memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 27, 2022, and details will be provided by the family.
