Obituary for James Melvin "Jimmy" Samuels Jr.
James Melvin “Jimmy” Samuels, Jr. passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2022. He was a Truck Driver for Stanley O’Bier and a member of Calvary Pentecostal Church. Jimmy enjoyed being outside and spending time with his beloved dogs, Sissy and Lila. Most of all, he loved his family and will be deeply missed by them.
Jimmy is survived by his wife of almost 40 years, Helen Hall Samuels; his stepchildren, Danny Thompson, Kevin Thompson, and Bonnie Thompson; his grandchildren, Ryan, Zachary, Nick, Matthew, Danielle, Casey, Beverly, Dallas, Alana, Darling, and Kellen; and his great-grandchildren, Jaelyn, Maisley, Oakley, Peirce, Aleah, D. J. and one on the way.
His is also survived by his siblings, Debbie Hayden, Cindy King, Michael Samuels, and Denise Davis; and many nieces and nephews.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, James Melvin Samuels, Sr. and Clara Aldene Samuels.
Services will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made, in loving memory of Jimmy, to the Northumberland County Animal Shelter, P. O. Box 603, Burgess, VA 22432.
