Obituary for Roger Rene Delort
Roger R. Delort, 82, of Montross passed away on Monday, August 1, 2022. He was born to the late Rene Delort and Marguerite Sablayrolls Delort in France and moved to the States in his later teen years.
Roger served in the United States Air Force and was a retired Electronics Technician for the government. He was so technically savvy that he would tinker and repair radios, tv, and other electronic devices in his spare time. Some of Roger's favorite things were amateur radio and listening to classical and jazz music.
He is survived by his daughter, Suzanne R. Widener; son, Marc N. Delort (Laureen); brothers, Paul and Peter Delort; sisters, Chris Beebe, Josie Haskell (Norman), Fran Rukenbrod (Joe), and Janine Jung; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Roger is preceded in death by his wife, Shelia Kay Delort and brother, Robert Delort.
A celebration of Roger's life will be held at a later date.
