Obituary for Warren Adderson Jenkins Jr.

Warren Adderson Jenkins, Jr., 85, of Coles Point, passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2018. He was a member of Coles Point United Methodist Church who was known for his wacky sense of humor and enjoyed bee keeping. Warren owner and operated J.J.’s Recording Studio and wrote over 8,000 gospel and country songs. He also ran a lumber yard and surplus store. Warren adored his five daughters and his numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Warren is survived by his wife, Esther S. Williams Jenkins; daughters, Julia DeJesus (Mike) of Richmond, Beverly Payne (Bill) of Coles Point, Winnie Jenkins of Haynesville, Bonnie Ferrara of Coles Point, and Connie Washington (Darnell) of Jamaica; brother, Doug Jenkins, Sr.; grandchildren, Joshua, Emma, Crystal, Michelle, Billy, Heather, Sidney, Ashley, Amy, John, Loren, T.J. and Cheyene; and 15 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Coles Point United Methodist Church with interment following at Carmel United Methodist Church. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral.
