Obituary for Elmer Guerdon Lowman

Elmer G. Lowman, 99, of Montross, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 8, 2018. He was the widower of Arrie Dee Lowman, a member of Currioman Baptist Church and a retired postmaster for the US postal Service.
He was a US Army Veteran of World War II having honorably serving from 1940 - 1945, including combat in Europe, where he saw action in France and Belgium after D-Day.
He was preceded in death by his parents Reverend Guerdon Elmer and Minnie A. Wagner Lowman, one brother and three sisters.
Elmer is survived by a nephew Wallace McGinness and his wife Bettie Lou of Montross and a sister Edna Howes, Lutherville, MD. Also surviving are many other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 noon., Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Currioman Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services
